csf_2Andy Evans was guest of honour at the club's meeting on 13th February. In his talk, he gave a summary of the priorities for Lions International which are to raise $250 million for Sight First and to rebrand Lions to attract and retain more new members.

There are currently some 1.3 million members worldwide, with over 600 active in Luxembourg.

Luxembourg?s Lions have raised ?34,000 for Sight First and hope to donate this through an NGO in Niger with the hope of then obtaining additional funding from the Government. Locally, Luxembourg?s food bank, also run by Lions, collected 6.4 t at Cactus Belle Etoile supermarket a few weeks previously and a collection at Topaz was alo planned soon. There are currently 40-50 food packages distributed to families in need every week.
